Amazing D5 Stuff
First of all, thanks to all of you teachers who make all of their awesomely creative stuff and put it out on TPT for free. I was starting to make my own posters for D5 and CAFE and I was having trouble finding pictures that I wanted to go with them. (Plus they were looking super boring) So I did a quick search on TPT- just "daily 5" and got hundreds of awesome resources for FREE. So thank you to all of the brilliant teachers out there!

Setting up the classroom library
I am currently working on setting up my classroom library. When I taught first grade I had a great supply of books but now that I am teaching third grade I have to rethink the library. I had many amazing teachers/parents donate books and I purchased many at a warehouse sale but now I am stuck on how to organize them. In third grade, the students learn a lot about genres so I decided to align my classroom library with that. It worked for about the first 15 baskets but now I have books scattered all over my room with no home... yet. I know they will all fit somewhere- I just have to figure out a way that will work best. If you have any suggestions- feel free to let me know!

A new year with a new grade!
School let out just a few weeks ago, and as many teachers ( I hope) I am ready to start thinking about next year! This year will be my third year of teaching and my first year in third grade. I am extremely excited to teach a new grade but I am preparing myself for all of the work ahead! Since I will have a busy summer ahead- I decided to get an early start. Step 1: My new classroom. I have been thinking about the best way to arrange the room and I think I have it the way I want it. More pictures soon to come!
