Classroom Management

Since I am switching to third grade this year, I decided to change up my classroom management system as well. In first grade, the students each had a flip chart of 5 colors that showed what behavior they were showing. I would send positive notes and "red notes" home occasionally. It ended up being a lot to keep up with and I felt the students weren't getting enough positive feedback so I developed this method! (Hopefully, it will be easier for me too)

I saw so many great ideas on Pinterest for behavior management so I took a few ideas put them together and then tweaked it to work for me. I have attached all the of the notes I will send home and the actual behavior chart. Help yourself!

Behavior Chart
The students will use clothespins with their names to move around on the chart. Every student will start on good for the day. Their goal is to get a WOW ticket by going above and beyond.

Behavior Record Sheet
This is a record sheet to help me keep track of notes that go home. I hope to do a better job of this this year!

Reward Menu
I am going to use this at the beginning of the year so the students can decide on what they can earn with 5 WOW tickets.

How to get a wow
I will also use this so students know what they need to do to move to WOW!

Tickets
These are the notes I will send home depending on their behavior. My plan is for the student to fill them out to save me paper work. The students will keep their WOW tickets in their planner but take the Oops and Time Out tickets home to be signed.

I have made an explanation to parents but it is on my school computer which is checked in for the summer- so that is soon to come!
This is the behavior chart finished. I just need to add the clothespins with my students' names. Above is where I will keep all of the behavior tickets.
